Dwarf Fortress Megathread! - Necro'd enough to count as a vampire

Yes, every dwarf is unique. You can view their thoughts, description and health.

They aren't "piles", they're actually usable stone. Either get a mason/craftsdwarf and make something with them, or you designate a dump with {i} then move over them with [k] and press [d]ump.
You can also do [d] {b} [d] to mass dump.

Nope, it's usable materials. Just that the dwarves climb the stairs the second the rock is made.

It's been a bit since I've played, but you should be able to do it if you look at a dwarf and press enter, and see his or her "Thoughts and Preferences," at least I think that's how it's done. Look is K, by the way.
