Dwarf Fortress Megathread! - Necro'd enough to count as a vampire

Tried this for the first time in a long time
Got a decent base going, then two of my dwarves got killed by a trout
One of the dwarves in my base started freaking out because one of the victims was their husband, so I locked her in a room
Almost immediately after a badger got into the base, killed everything, and waited outside of the room for the distraught dwarf

lol I started a fire over grass near my spawn house, every single ranger/guard in the outpost came into the house ignoring me

All of my woodcutters have skill in axedwarf. Hopefully I can kill 1 badger.

Huh, never thought Dwarf Fortress actually had tags to determine how creatures talk. [LISP] gives talking creatures sssssnake speech and [UTTERANCES] (notably used by kobolds) makes their speech a stufffest of unintelligible garbage.
