ok, i mined down using stairs like 7 floors, but i got stuck because i remove one pair of stairs now I can't connect the upper floor's updown stairs to the one floor lower's now stairs. how do i use materials on the floor and move them so i can make stairs out of them or something?

I have a farm, stockpile room for food, and a few extra rooms. I think I should make beds because dwarves like sleeping right? They also like booze so I have to get them some booze.
