Learning the secrets is surprisingly easy if you're patient. Get a nice squad of companions to stall the zombies for you and sit back and wait for the necromancer(s) to run out the door, get around to the back of the zombie horde and ram your weapon into the forgeter's head. As far as I know, zombie necromancers aren't capable of using their power so you should be okay if one of his buds raises him. Kill the rest of the nearby necromancers and then take apart the zombie horde. Zombies have bullstuff attack + defense rolls and are really weak so you won't have any trouble killing them. Make sure you have good shield user/dodger first, though. Some of the zombies in the necromancer's tower have crossbows. EDIT: nailthumbs thumbnails of my army |
