Dwarf Fortress Megathread! - Necro'd enough to count as a vampire

Has anyone read the Bronzemurder story yet? That's the reason I wanted to play Dwarf Fortress.

That story where all hell breaks loose because of the iguana monster at the base of the pump stack? Yeah, I read that before. I've been playing DF since 40d, though, so I was playing when that story (and the version it was played on) was created. Boatmurdered is another good story to read if you haven't yet. It was the reason a good many people started playing.
