I was looking at the weapons in my inventory, and apparently it lists all of the kills I have with each of them.
36 with 1 of my 5 spears. And 5 with 1 of my 5 shields.

Cats are horrible creatures. Only have like 3 male cats in your fortress, annihilate all females and kittens.
