Dwarf Fortress Megathread! - Necro'd enough to count as a vampire
Captain Crazy:
The dead potter who was slain in the dining room is now a half-skeletonized corpse on the same tile he was a year ago. I've built him a coffin, but the dwarves seem to prefer the miasma to hauling a rotting dwarf into a casket. How do I take care of the corpse?
Edit: Even the game realizes that the potter is dead and the casket belongs to him. Is there something I need to do or are my dwarves just lazy?
Littledude:
try making a corpse stockpile
and make sure that the dwarves have corpse hauling enabled
heedicalking:
or dump his body parts
JJA0:
Me > Here have all this stuff for one barrel of clothes
Elf > forget you
Me > But your gain is almost 2000$
Elf > Screw you im not trading with you anymore
Me > Fine get the hell out of here but im taking all your stuff you stupid forgetass.
Killed one of them after that and the elves still haven't loving attacked me. COME AT ME YOU stuffS.

Yeah, I have a corpse/refuse stockpile. The dwarves are perfectly capable of corpse hauling according to the "Set Orders" screen. I want him to have a proper burial before they have a bare skeleton.
