--- Quote from: Xalos on August 20, 2011, 07:04:56 AM ---I downloaded the game, started playing it, and everything seemed reasonably straight forward. Then I got into the actual game environment. --- End quote --- That line isn't steep enough. Lol. |

--- Quote from: Jacob/Lee on August 20, 2011, 03:45:56 AM ---That's impossible. A dwarf goes berserk as a form of insanity, when a dwarf goes insane they can't do it again because it always results in death. A strange mood causes insanity when failed. --- End quote --- Nah, dwarves CAN go from "Strange Mood" to "Berserk", although the more common is immediately going to a life ending state rather than going "Miserable" only first. ----- The only time I've really had an issue with an insane dwarf was: - Dwarf goes "Strange Mood" status - Dwarf takes over metalworker's workshop - Dwarf begins making Serpentine Anvils (I had to dig a long way for that stuff D:) - Dwarf takes anvils and places them all in the great hall - Dwarf cracks his/her skull somehow and the body is hidden under hordes of loitering dwarves and animals - I didn't know it was there until: - Miasma makes dwarves unhappy - 20+ Dwaves go insane and jump off a bridge taking all the children with them Later on a goblin raid killed everyone else. |

I've set up an asylum for my sane dwarves to watch the insane dwarves go crazy. It seems to have turned into their pastime. Every since I've done that, no more dwarves went insane. Although until the current insane dwarves die, I can't get food or beds in there. |
