Dwarf Fortress Megathread! - Necro'd enough to count as a vampire

I got attacked by more bogeymen, but I lured them until Tigermen intervened. Then I picked them both off as they quarreled amongst each other.

I think I'm in trouble now. I'm either going to die a terrible death since I have one hand or I'm going to be the most epic adventurer in the world who beats people to death with a shield.
I didn't even find any soldiers in the fortress I was going to when I got jumped.

You can have a shield and spear/other weapon in the same hand. Just use 'r' to get out weapons and stuff. Like I said, I have about 6 shields 6 spears, with two hands.
Also, I'm back to civilization and ready to kill a minotaur.

My random fortress name "Oiledvirgin" was better.

I see that as quite cheaty so I'm going to stick with my one hand.
In other words, I wrestled down the bear that bit my hand off then smashed his face in with my shield Spartan style.
