My eyes cracked open. I tried to move, but a searing pain in my chest prevented me from doing so. I winced at how much my chest hurt. I began to survey the area, looking for anyone that could help me. There were none. I had to move, find anyone that could help me. I attempted to move again, slower this time. The pain remained, but as long as I didn't move, it wasn't too bad. I looked down at my chest and saw what was causing the pain. A large gash, one I was not aware of until now, was slashed across my chest. I sucked in air through gritted teeth. I thought to myself, That can't be good. |
