You might be taking it a bit harsh. But a good point was brought up
To address that point, a doctor really did tell me I had it.

Mage gets meaner and meaner every day. little. by. little.

Maybe he has two personalities too?

Isn't this just like, mood swings? I mean couldn't this be easily explained by testosterone?

idk bro ask the doctor

Mage was just mean!

I have a mental issue here and you're saying I chose a Wikipedia article? :(
I'm not saying you did, I'm asking a question. From what it sounds and how what I've seen, you seem more like the borderline personality type than anything else. I know I'm no doctor and hardly know you very much, but I think I know enough to realize that most people don't find pleasure out of personality or mental disorders of any sort.

Even so, I'm interested, what was the questioning like? Did the doctor suggest or perform any external testing like a CT Scan? How long were you in questioning for? Were you in counseling prior to this? Was this a one time thing or has it been going on?

Wait, so do you think your altar ego is a superhero? Cause thats that's what he told me.

The doctor asked me questions along the lines of how I feel in mornings, what makes me angry (like my pet peeves and stuff), if I've experienced moodswings, etc. I have an MRI scheduled in a month but they did say I show all the signs of DID, and therefore said I have it.

I find this kind of cool because I'm like two different people, but I have to admit it is kind of scary.

Sometimes I see Megabear very kind and happy

Next day he's shouting.

I don't like it.

:(

Why would you have an MRI? Personality disorders are rarely in conjunction to any improper brain functions, unless it's from some traumatic experience like if you were raped or tortured or something to that like. That's actually a major problem, as well, since there aren't many physical signs of it it is usually over-diagnosed..in fact, there are a number of people out there who will tell you DID doesn't even exist.

And those with DID go through very rigid questioning in order to be properly diagnosed with it. There are very clear signs of it, though it is still extremely speculative, as well, so it could take several hours of questioning to see the right approach to treatment for a person. And if the doctor did only minor questioning and immediately told you afterwords that you had it, I deeply advise seeking a second opinion.

Mage doesn't think I'm legit. :(

You sure you aren't a doctor? It seems like you know a lot on the subject. However, if a doctor diagnosed DID, and scheduled a MRI, I'm leaning towards him actually having it. I see where you're coming from also, and would
advise seeking a second opinion.

I sometimes find myself having arguments with myself in my head, with several different attitudes.

Since this is the internet, I call bull stuff

Mage doesn't think I'm legit. :(
You see, when you immediately back out on the issue like that, changing the topic to my behavior, it convinces me only more that you are:
A. Pretending for fun/attention and were never diagnosed with this
B. Diagnosed with something similar
C. Self-diagnosed yourself with it
D. Seeking an excuse for previous or future behavior

Or perhaps it is E, wherein you were diagnosed with DID, in which case I do strongly advise a second opinion and hope all turns out well. Living with any sort of disorder is of no ease and you should count your blessings each morning you can wake up knowing that which is real and that which isn't, and each day that passes you can look in the mirror and know who you are.

No, I'm not a doctor, but I have/am studying the mind and mental disorders in particular. Plus, I've been through the process to see if I had DID.
