Just because a game is old and a building block for newer games does not mean it is ultimately better than any newer game of that genre. Despite how revolutionary they may have been, technology has gotten better and new ideas have come around. |

Despite how revolutionary they may have been, technology has gotten better and new ideas have come around. --- End quote --- when said new ideas end up restricting player freedom and limiting weapon choices, they're not very good ideas take the call of duty campaigns. there is no creativity. there is no possibility for improvisation or cool situations. it's all pre-scripted to happen how it happens. there is absolutely no emergent gameplay and no freedom. the game doesn't let you go off the track at all, it guides you in a completely straight line. there are no secret areas, no exploration, no flanking, no possibility of using a different strategy. it's all just "SHOOT GUY FROM EXACTLY THIS AREA WITH EXACTLY THIS GUN, THEN RUN STRAIGHT TO NEXT AREA". the multiplayer owns, but the campaigns are made by a dog crapping on a blank space on each disk |

If you are going to make a game with Doom graphics, it better have the best damn gameplay ever, which it doesn't. |
