If someone released an FPS with Doom-style graphics in this day and age, they would be a laughing stock (unless they were an indie dev). On the flip side, with a game that looks like this, it catches the viewer's attention. Unfortunately nowadays the average person seems to judge games a bit too focused on graphics, instead becoming "that game looks ugly, it must be stuff" and "that game looks beautiful, it must be amazing". |
