Just watched 1408, per Makanix's request, that was a great movie indeed.
@Tophat: Thank you very much for posting that. I was going to post something similar a little later, but you've done it for me, I greatly appreciate that.
To all my clan members: though Krypt may not be the most active of clans, just remember this. We still know how to have a great time. Through taking my leave of absence, I hoped that Krypt would move forward and start to be more proactive. It started out as such, but over the past few days, it seems that people have become less active again. There is no blame to be had here, it's just that school and other life activities always take priority over anything in the virtual world. I, for one, definitely understand that. I also understand that, even if you're not preoccupied with more important things, it can be difficult to work on the things that take more effort, such as clan activities.
Therefore, I am going to just say this outright.
If you cannot put forth the time and effort required to be a member of, not just my clan, but any clan, then you may leave at any time. If you feel that you don't really have the motivation to participate in all scheduled activities, then you may leave at any time. I want all of my members, even ones of higher authority, right now, to think to yourselves, "Do I really have the motivation, the time, the effort, to be a contributing member of this clan?" And if you even so much as hesitate to answer, "Yes," then I want you to be completely honest with me. I know I'm being a really huge hypocrite here, seeing as I rarely ever contributed to the clan, even when I was still active leader. But I guess that's my big flaw. I want other people to do work with me, usually with the heaviest amount of work falling on those working with me, rather than myself. It has been a goal of mine, ever since I started Krypt, to put more effort and dedication into my work.
I never reached that goal. Even today, I'm not at the level of dedication I wish to be. This very lack of motivation is what drove my Junior year of high school into the ground. And I'm doing my damnedest to ensure that my Senior year doesn't end up the same way.
So, all in all, if you no longer wish to be a member of my clan, there is nothing stopping you from leaving. My clan needs motivated, hard-working people, which I very well realize can be difficult to be sometimes.
I really don't know what to do here. Feel free to toss suggestions my way, because I've pretty much exhausted my pool of ideas.
I know I'm not the best clan leader. I know that, sometimes, I may seem among the worst of clan leaders. But I want to be. I need you guys to tell me what to do. What you want from me, as your leader.
If a clan project is not started by the end of next Friday, I will have no other choice but to place Krypt into a state of indefinite dormancy.
