OK, so I haven't played in a while and I got a new computer and lost the e-mail address I used to buy the game with so I can't recover my key should I just buy the game again? or is there still some (doubtful) way for me to recover my old key?

You can PM or email Badspot with some verification of your purchase. When you bought it, what you used to buy it with, and any other information that you think will help.
