There's nothing wrong with BYOND, it's a very good starting place.

I have a list of possible enemies ingame:

Zombies
Skeletons
Ghosts
Golems
Elementals
Cyclops
Animated Armors
Vampires
Mummies
Demons
Dragons

Of course these can all be cubified.
