it doesn't matter what area it is because there are minimum build codes
yes but your area gets more of them and therefore is more used to them and knows how to react.
put it this way. we laugh at you people from Florida because people flip out when it starts snowing and causes tons of traffic jams, school closings, etc even though it was only like, 1 inch. we get that a lot in the winter here, and we don't flip out because we're used to it, even expecting it.

Oh ya? WELL I ONCE LIVED THROUGH 3 F7000 HURRICANES!!1!1! AT THE SAME TIME!!!11!!!111

WITHOUT EVACUATING.

Seriously, though, had you ever witnessed a powerful hurricane as those, you wouldn't be flaunting around talking about how an F1 is nothing and nobody should respond in any way, shape, or form (And even if you had you still shouldn't be). Especially considering that we don't get hurricanes up here often. Not every part of the world witnesses every form of weather; If it started to snow in certain places, no matter how lightly it is, people would start to panic. The fear of not knowing, of unpredictability, of unpreparedness, of unfamiliarity. Something nature instills on us quite a bit.

i bet kearne lives in mexico or some country nobody cares about

He's full of himself too, which explains the "I'm too cool for natural disasters" attitude. His sig is an unfunny joke that he made.

i lived through hurricane wilma.

anyone remember that one? the one that hit florida dead on as a category 3-4?

I hated Wilma.

I was 5 at the time. I decided that I would leave Wilma my own message taped onto a tree, drawn onto a piece of printer paper.

I went back out there just last year, to find the paper was still there. I felt sentimental for a moment.

New york shut down all of the Trams and Subways.

None:

  • Phone
  • Internet
  • Transportation

I hope everyone is okay in DC and North Carolina and stuff :C

This is my second hurricane since Florida 9th grade, but I'm still pretty anxious about the power going out.
