Wasn't there a "Planet of the Apes" or "Planet Ape" movie somewhere in the late 90s- early 20s maybe.  Anyways, that old one was pretty good.

Although I guess the new movie is "Rise of the...".  Kinda like a prequel to the old one.
Jesus you don't know anything.

It was about as stupid as Dragon wars. The human reaction to the ape threat was completely unrealistic.

And I'm suppose to know everything then.  I didn't know, I was just throwing it out there.

The movie pretty much sucks. I can't even tell if it's a prequel to the original planet of the apes or the remake planet of the apes.

It's a prequel of two movies set in the future of returning to earth after the apes took over. The original was the original, the later movie was a remake of the original, and now we have the prequel.

Which one does the prequel take before then? The original and the remake are completely different and not even remotely similar.

It was sad. But I was entertained and enjoyed it.

The original and remake hold only one thing in common. It's about the astronaught guy from the Mars mission returning back to the planet. The prequel is the prelude for the newer one.

I thought it was great
