Author Topic: Can You Run It? - Automatic System Specification Checker!  (Read 4016 times)

All the website does is compare the specifications of your hardware to the game's minimum and recommended hardware specifications.

They don't count in the research you have on your computer or the thousands of instances of programs you're running.

Eh.
I play Fallout: New Vegas all the time, no lag.

it's "can you run it"
not "can you run 6 instances of it at 60 fps with max graphics"
It says I can run HL2 on recommended settings, I should get more than 20 fps, which is the average i get while playing it.

It showed fail for me on a game and i ran it at like 30 fps at max settings.
and whenever it shows fast it lags like richard.

That's an incredibly arrogant thing to say.
crysis 2 was incredibly watered down in every aspect

Team Fortress 2 (2007)
bahaha (I hate my pc)

it told me that I couldn't play Fallout New Vegas
yet here I am with 10000 something caps, 998 stimpaks, 9908 9mm, Maria, t-51b power armor, power armor training, all ten ranks of intense training, and a stuffload of other perks I can't think of
I'm level four, and have still yet to visit Novac
mmmm console commands

crysis 2

ujelly?

EDIT: this thing is so inaccurate, I tested Team Fortress 2 and it said:

yet I have it and run it fine.

^Unreal Tournament 2004, since that's what people keep saying is equivalent to Killing Floor

I'm thinking about buying killing floor, except my computer sucks
here's my specs:

OS: Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 3
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+
RAM: 2.10 GHz, 2.93 GB of RAM Physical Address Extension
Video Card: GeForce 6150 LE
DirectX Version: 9.0c
Sound Card: SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC
Free Disk Space: 53.6 GB

will this actually run?

I did another scan of a game I've owned for a long time, team fortress 2, and the results were actually true

my computer sucks at running this, mainly because of my graphics card and stuff

then I did another test with another game I own, left 4 dead 2

my computer runs it fine, save for the lagginess, and graphics toned down a lot, and playing in 800x600, and making everything low
I failed this because of my graphics card and cpu

THEN I DID ONE MORE TEST, WITH COD4.

this game runs fine for the most part, except graphics are turned down, anti-aliasing is off, it lags when there's a lot of stuff going on(such as the drop from crew expendable and you look into the main deck)
I failed for the same reason with l4d2

so I ask again: can I run killing floor? or is this thing just teasing me?

I don't think the site is kept 100% up to date with all cards, so it's miscalculating to forget. It used to be a lot more reliable.

What kind of setting do you use and what fps do you get?
