Anyway, you CAN you cheatengine or equivalent to change some numerical instances (health to 100 for example), but this only really works on slate on single player because there's too many other entries if on a map with other data or other players running around. Even on single there's so much data that by the time you filter it all to one instance it's just gone and changed. In short, possible but very very very tedious. --- End quote --- Anything that would be useful to hack this way is stored server-side. You could only change it if you were the host or singleplayer, in which case you might as well just change it through scripts, |

It depends on what you consider hacking. Would you consider my upcoming Sky Eye mod to be hacking? The server already provides the client with all the positions of all the clients in the server, all this does is display that information. I recently had a discussion with someone who was adamant that BuildBot was hacking because "BuildBot loads the bricks. It doesn't matter how the bricks got there if I don't want the save on my server." (Clearned up grammar as a courtesy) I then asked that person if they considered building to be loading. They answer no. I then asked that person if they considered memorizing something they build and recalling it to be loading. They answer yes. It is really all a matter of perspective. If someone wants to call a chatbot, or aimbot, or macros hacking, no matter how dead wrong they are, they might percieve it that way. |

It's just a macro. --- Quote from: Nexus on September 01, 2011, 08:37:14 PM ---It is really all a matter of perspective. We're speaking facts here so it doesn't matter how a clueless user perceives it. |
