I went to start up TF2 yesterday, and it won't run. It just sits there at the "Preparing to run..." screen forever. After about ten minutes of this I just canceled it.

Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Restart steam

Restart steam. If that does not work, switch your download server to the 2nd closest one.

Right click steam windows on task bar thing
"Exit Steam"
