Author Topic: Why are older versions of shows always better?  (Read 1518 times)

what regular show is awesome, they're aiming for a younger audience.
The show seems to target an audience who spends ample amounts of time on the internet. Anyone who hasn't would not find randomness to be amusing.
Cartoon Network is turning into the internet on television, and I hate it.

Funny, I didn't get 'kid's show' from, "No looking at our crotches while we synchronize our watches."
and "what the h?"
and "he's gonna get pissed off"
and uh all-a dis

Not Star Trek

Dohohoh

OH, Star Wars too.
Show is getting worse, and earlier movies were better.

LucasFilm needs to stop trying to squeeze every cent they can out of the Star Wars franchise, in my opinion.
Same with Pixar and Cars.

Examples:
Spongebob Squarepants
Scooby-Doo
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Fairly Odd Parents
Phineas and Ferb

Spongebob Squarepants: The new ones are good at times, at least they are less inconsistent than original versions of shows.
Scooby-Doo: They won't stop trying to loving milk it. I think the high point was Scooby Doo on Zombie Island, when they found real monsters instead of costumed freaks. After that, it went so far downhill, and they kept dragging it further and further. I believe they've already hit the bottom and began digging a tunnel to the breaches of hell with Scooby's ragged corpse.
Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles: Should have never been revived.
The Fairly Odd Parents: It was good, but now it has awkward cartooniness and adding characters and such which make the past... Not make sense. THey talked about magical backup, but with the current 'facts,' none of those problems should exist.
Pokemon: Started out awesome, "kick ass!" theme. Team Rocket floating above the city after their first failure was awesome. Then they retcon'd it to that they NEVER work, Team Rocket is the biggest joke ever even with their BEST people, and Team Rocket as we know them is literally comic relief. What the forget?
Yu-Gi-Oh: They just wanted to make up more random hair like the originals.

The only good part of this is the new ones have their cartooning style refined and in most cases... At least they don't LOOK that ugly. However, Scooby Doo for one is forgeted up now.

Avatar The-Last-Airbender, never was bad in the series. I was sad when it ended.

Yeaaaaaah.
:d
That sums up my feelings about the franchise. Pokémon Red and Blue are the only two Pokémon games I've ever played, and the only two I own.
I also have a copy of Yellow that I got from a garage sale a while back, but it doesn't work.
And my brother left an original Gameboy in my possession when he moved out, which makes the experience so much more enjoyable.

The reason is that they have thought up, thorough ideas for the first few episodes.  At some point they are making the episodes with almost no time in-between the previous and next ones so the ideas have to be less thought through.

I used to have Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, and Gold.
My favorite was Yellow.

Did anyone see the horrible new spin-off of Tom and Jerry where they're like, babies? HORRIBLE.
But Tom and Jerry Tales is good , just not as much as the classic cartoon, it continues to be my favorite show. :3

I didn't say kids, i said a younger audience.
