Author Topic: What is the deep meaning of mad world  (Read 1632 times)

It's about depression as far as i can tell, about how a man sees the world, and ho he feels depression from it.

Self Delete/confusion/depression

Disturbed's "Indestructible" was written to give the listener motivation and the feeling of bloodlust, rage and a desire for war.

Disturbed's "Inside the Fire" was based off of how the singer had a girlfriend who committed Self Delete, and how he stands over her body while the Devil talks to him in the form of the lyrics of the song ("Give your soul to me, for eternity/release your life to begin another time with her; end your grief with me/there's no other way").

"Youth of the Nation" deals with the depression hitting today's youth etc. etc.

Breaking Benjamin's "So Cold" contains metaphors for today's world and death in the world.

In Flames' "The Quiet Place" is a metal song that is mainly about not caring what others think of you ("Judge me now, just be afraid to let it show, bow down/A king in my own mind")
I got some more too.

Flo-Rida's "Low" is about apple-bottom jeans and boots with the fur, and how the whole club is lookin' at hurr'.

Rihanna's "S&M" is heavily influenced by the loveual acts, obviously sadomasochism (see wikipedia).

Rihanna's "Only Girl (In the World)" is also heavily based on love, bla bla make her feel like the only girl in the world.

Taio Cruz' "Dynamite" is about 9/11.  Nevermind.

Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" is about a trip the band had in Switzerland I think.
