Author Topic: So that guy Troy Davis has been executed  (Read 2262 times)

I don't understand this at all. Correct me if im wrong, but i hear of people killing three or more, and they just get sent to jail. Why was this guys case so special?
no physical evidence, 7 of the 9 witnesses say he's innocent, some of said witnesses said police pressured them into declaring him guilty in their initial statements, also he's black so there's a chance of this being a race issue too

it's not every day that a guy is executed with tons of evidence against him being guilty
i hope

ALL evidence was against him. with nothing to prove his innocence at all.
you seem to not understand how courts work

Sorry, what i meant to say is. Why does he get death for killing one person, when someone else kills three people and just go to jail.

cause the dude he allegedly killed was a cop iirc

from the wiki

"The evidentiary hearing was held in June 2010, during which affidavits from several prosecution witnesses from the trial changing or recanting their previous testimony were presented; some affiants asserted they had been coerced by police. The State presented witnesses, including the police investigators and original prosecutors, denying any coercion."

so these "recants" were from pressure and threats by the community.
this was  brought to court and considered. but then the state had proven that there was no police coercion involved. thus, the recants were ignored.

see. the system DOES work. the recants had their chance, and proven bullstuff.

Ah, that make sense.

I remember we were learning about this guy in RE class, a long time before he got excecuted.
I hoped that he'd be bailed out in some way, since he got support from Amnest, but nope.

Chances are he was innocent, these kinds of things happen a lot. People end up in jail for years for a crime they didn't commit and people like O.J. get away with the crime they committed.

except anyone with that kind of opinion cannot be reasoned with on any level about anything. i've tried, believe me, and it didn't work out.
what happened on not posting here anymore?

Ah, that make sense.
Yeah, we all know how cops are better people than non-cops

...right?

and this post proves you're either trolling or a very dumb person. in order to keep me from losing faith in humanity, i am going to believe the former. do not bother responding to this post because i will not reply back

I agreed with you at first

But that was handicapped :l

no they're just so dumb that they're wrong about everything
i am only wrong about some things

I don't get it.  The court ruled him guilty with substantial evidence, what is the problem?

Only the modern media can make something so big out of something so everyday.
Just look at what happened after DDT was banned. Hundreds of thousands of children die daily because they couldn't get it. Yes of course it did thin the shells of birds eggs, but that's only because it was overused so much.

Oh my the lols when I saw the name "Anneliese MacPhail".

I just edited the wiki to say that.
