The difference between these examples is that that thread was a forum game. If I was posting "trainman1" across multiple threads, then yes, that's bad. But every single post I made was in one thread made for spammy posts.

Over half the people in that thread wasn't around to know who trainman1 was or they didn't remember him at all.
