Oh dear, I have a dilema

I borrowed skyrim from a friend for a weekend and played about 1/3 of the way through the campaign on xbox 360.

I am planning on buying skyrim, but I don't know if I should buy it for xbox because I already have alot of progress or if I should go for the PC version so I can get updates and mods and use the console.

I don't have xbox live gold so I do not think I can download updates.
My computer is excellent, but the monitor is very old and square.  I am getting a new one for christmas, but it is still going to be nothing compared to the resolution of my TV and my xbox.  Then again, I can always hook up my PC to the TV.

It also seems that the xbox version is more highly rated than the PC version.

Which version should I get?
Oasis:
PC of course? :D

PC all the way. Mods for the main part. HD texture mods = much better than 360.

Whats your computer specs?
Anti-Block:
I would get it for PC. I mean, I love my xbox and skyrim for the xbox, but my computer is a dirty old carpet hanging off of rusty sheet metal and my computer would crash even if i opened the skyrim readme.
