Not that I don't enjoy playing Skyrim, but I think Oblivion offered a level of satisfaction that Skyrim just doesn't give.
Maybe because I'd been wanting Oblivion for years before I got it, as opposed to Skyrim.

are you on a console?
If you want to resort to exploitations aad are on a pc you should just use the console commands to level up skills.

I'm not exploiting or using console commands but I'm finding easy ways to skill up.
