The Elder Scrolls Megathread

after watching my brother as he played skyrim on his ps3 I've been inspired to return to my roots and experience Skyrim the way I first experienced oblivion. So I'm taking it slow, examining everything about the caves I find and the mountains I climb.
This game is loving beautiful, I'm not talking about graphical quality either, I'm just talking about the feel of the game.
For instance, I wondered my way into a cave which had a large central room with a pillar of stone in the center. There was a pool of water below as I walked across the old wooden bridge, after picking off the bandits with my bow I explored the room and found a bunch of neat little things. The bandits had platforms set up all around the room and thin ledges of rock, everything was just so cool to look at and imagine how the bandits would live here before I slaughtered them. They even had a diving board set up off the central pillar so that they could dive into the salmon filled pools.
It's so nice to just look around and appreciate the world that you play in.

do you mean before or after the 30 day xbox exclusivity? because that is the reason we had to wait a month.

I mean how everyone expected it to come out after a month, and they almost acted like they never planned it for PC. Now that we have this news, it seems apparent they were holding up the DLC because they couldn't release it for PS3 yet, but they finally gave up and just released it for PC. They probably had the rights to launch it any time they wanted for quite some time. (I'm taking about abrupt releasing probably due to already having the ability to release.)
It's too bad the PS3 release isn't coming soon, although I don't have a PS3. I've seen the slow load times on Xbox though through Robbaz - I bet it's about the same. Also, update the title? :)

also, I haven't actually gotten into dawnguard content yet, but I think its really cool how they raise the sense of urgency by having vampires actually attack cities after the dawnguard recruiter talks to you.

Since all of you make the DLC to be over expensive on PC due to modding ability, I can't bring myself to buy it. Anyone know of any upcoming events which might reduce the price? (Besides holidays, of course. That's too obvious.)
