So far Blocklands smorgasbord of DM's suck

That's the exact impression I am getting with this game. It seems eye candy is held more popular than playability. My problem isn't with the game, it's with the immature kids playing it... they don't know how to build real competitive levels, just fancy artsy crap.
As for the "There needs to be less DM's" I disagree and I don't see what you're saying. There are RARELY any TDMs on, let alone any DMs at all. The most TDMs I've seen on at one time were like 5.
I play for DMs. Freebuilding is great, but once you get it out of your system, you want to actually do something productive with your creations and DMs are great for that.

actually in my experience the kids can't build either
if you really want to see more form-AND-function DMs, you should do something like start a contest to get people competing AGAINST eachother to constantly try to outdo one another- and thus, make their deathmatch better and better. get a bunch of people in on it. be subtle about the advertising but offer a worthwhile prize. that kind of thing

lol... I had a guy come in my DM and tell me it was a "nooby mess disaster". He tried to "teach" me how to build a good DM, but all he showed me was this complex looking "Ramp" fixture crap and how to "event" light stuff. I asked him... "now what the hell good is any of this fancy crap gonna do to my desert DM?" He got mad and left. lol

Normally there's a ton of good TDMs and stuff up but since the start of the school year they've all gone away.

Makes sense. It makes me feel a bit immature because I'm 22 years old lol.
I just love expressing my creativity, even if it's in a childish game :/
