Really? So, what is the plural? Americas? So there is 1 America, comprised of 1 continent? Please, find on a map a continent labeled: America
the continent of america
it's like tomato potato
and all that jazz
except it really is just one continent called america, named north and south for differential reasons

I can't believe you forgettards are arguing about continents.  The entire world considers the western landmass divided into North America and South America.

Swallow your pride for one damn moment and concede that you were mistaken you arrogant douchebag.

?

really there's just four continents: america, eurasia, australia, and antarctica.
I hate it when people do this. Continents are NOT defined by landmass. They are defined by a combination of natural borders, landmasses and culture. Logically, there are 8 continents:

North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Oceanica and Antarctica.

However, the Culture of the Middle East is comparable to that of Africa, so it does not merit it's own continent.

AAAND now the topic is an off-topic pile of stuff.

So, how was your day today?

"americans" refers generally to a united states citizen these days

"americas" refers to contiguous north and south america

"america" generally refers to the united states, however it depends on the context.

Steve Jobs isnt dead yet...?

This is a eventful time in life. I mean, I can't wait to tell the kids of the future about my experiences: the first African-American president, 9/11, the death of Steve Jobs, and hopefully some more things worth really remembering, although let's hope they are worthwhile and not depressing and sad days in history. This is just something I was think about so yeah.
2011 is a year to remember.  For me I've had two losses in my family, so it's even more so than for most people.

I've kept a log in my folder archive on my shelf of stuff that's happened this year.

What?  Is there a point to your post or do you just like to make words all big-like?

hot damn you have a lot of spelling errors
I know you're trying to be mr. top-notch, I'm not so I don't care about mine
but eight? there's seven geographically speaking, categorising them by borders and land features
europe, north america, south america, australia, antarctica, africa, and asia

If you read what I wrote, you wouldn't need to ask.

Also, I don't see any spelling errors, other than failed capitalization.

The only problem I see is a bunch of preteens acting like they're 40 and know everything.

I'm not selfish.
I know bullets will kill you in a heartbeat.
I know what hard work is and have done it.
I have integrity.
And I'm not as stupid as you all think.

I'll be happy when you stop using blanket terms ("everyone is/does [thing]") because they are untrue.

Oh and why the hell is everyone getting sand in their vaginas about continents?
