I remember when I had to put Blockland in My Documents because I was playing on a limited user account that wouldn't let me install to Program Files on XP.
It's no different IMO.

It's not like it has to be in My Documents... But I see no problem with it being there, I have other games like the Battlefield 3 Beta there and I still have tons of space.

The installer had the option to put dedicated server shortcuts on your desktop. Did you check that?
