You cannot overwrite the default files. For particle effects or gui textures, you should replace them via an add-on. For brick textures you will have to wait for this feature to be implemented officially. |

But really, the default textures shouldn't have the light areas that glow.. |

Well I just made the custom brick textures and particles as "read only" and they show up on my server now. I'm not sure if others can see it yet. |

I did the same thing changing my texture edits into read only's and they did not show up in game. |
