I tried to set the path to my old Blockland directory and it can't write to it for some reason. I cleared all the read only flags, UAC has been disabled for eons, and Blockland isn't currently running.

I had that issue too, however it was a certain folder thought to be in use. I logged out, then logged back in (to the computer). It worked :/

Yay, I got it to work the way I wanted by dropping the Launcher into my program files Blockland directory then running it with the  command line argument -profilePath "./"

It would be nice if this were just a pref for the launcher we could change somehow instead of having to run Blockland from a shortcut to the launcher every time.

An external pref file is another thing that people can lose, overwrite, mix up with other files, or mismatch with the wrong exe version.  I went out of my way to make the launcher a self-contained executable.

Yeah I just realized how it would make no sense at all to store it to Blockland's pref file if the launcher would have to know the location of that directory in the first place to be able to check it. I guess I can work with the shortcut to the launcher, providing I don't accidentally start the launcher itself and cause a new Blockland directory to be created.
