That wasn't the idea, what I said is always true. If all numbers are positive and any combination of addition, division, or multiplication is used, the result is guaranteed positive.
In the problem above you can't possibly have -2 because they're all positive and there's no subtraction.

It's because this is a variation, didn't realize there was one subtraction.
