Exactly. And some differences between the same generation models are miniscule. For example, the i5 2500k and i7 2600k are the same. The i7 has hyperthreading. If you don't use/need hypertheeading (and most people don't), it's not worth the price difference.

Definitely for $700. It's amazing for that price.
An equal one can cost as much as $1100.
