Yes, there is. It's buried in fossils. We are not morons, we can dig up fossils and look at them in chronological order and see them changing. Forces of nature that powerful don't just suddenly stop.

A species doesn't evolve over the course of a day, a year, or a lifetime. It takes generations - sometimes hundreds of thousands of them - for distinct changes in a species to occur. Evolution is not a fast process.

The proper noun 'God' should be capitalized when you're referring to the specific god, yes, but he wasn't using it that way.

"Christians believe in a god."

Note the difference.
