actually, it's still illegal to run around with it without an orange tip or you will get shot by cops.

A friend of mine got shot in the stomach for that. He had to get a kidney transplant because of how severe the damage was.

Ok, so, while there are no restrictions at all on airsoft guns in Maryland, they are banned entirely in D.C. The airsoft gun does have to ship with the orange cap though.
