take pics :3 I want to see your progress as you go on.

The last parts to my computer build just arrived! I have all the parts nicely arranged since I cannot build it yet. I'll get pics soon.

When are you able to build it?

forget NO.

I was just building my computer, setting up the Motherboard box for a test setup outside the case. I turned around to get the box ready, and I turned back around to see my dad placed the motherboard on top of the anti-static bag. I panicked and took the board off.

But now, I"M AFRAID MY MOTHERBOARD FRIED FROM STATIC.

WHAT DO?

My dad didn't feel anything, what do? D:

oh lol.

never mind then.

Another problem, when we're putting in the CPU, it fits in, but when we put the tension arm down, it feels like it's going to break and is really stiff. My dad thinks the CPU's in the wrong position and we're putting too much pressure. The notches are aligned and it's fully in the socket.

I've built a friend's computer before, nothing that special, but I have experience.

I helped him build it, what I meant is I have experience with the parts.

And do you always have to point out every mistake I make? God damn.

So I ordered a 50 dollar case that was normally 70 and installed my stuff in it but I needed someone to hold a flashlight to allow me to see my mobo so I asked my dad to hold it. When I got up to grab my CD drive my dad decided to organize my wires. Doing so he ripped the actual last SATA plug left. Oh, but not just that. When he did so one of my fans that mounted on the side window got a wire ripped out of it and now I need a new motherboard and I need to see if they will send me a need fan. fml

>mfw parents and technology

And until I get a new motherboard I cannot use my computer. I also need to get thermal paste because I'll need to take my heatsink off to put it on a new motherboard. ffffff

I saw that after I finished D:.

I still need to do some cable management tomorrow and install the case fans. Will psot some pics of the inside then.

Antec Three Hundred Illusion?

Also, that's why you need to work on your computer in a high-lighted area.

wait, wait, wait... Why do you need a new mobo? Did he rip the sata socket off the board? The fan is a pretty easy fix. Just use electrical tape or a soldering iron (if you have it).

I only have my room light and it was night. Plus it was in my dark case that was cramped because of my heatsink.

Yes, he literally ripped the very last socket I had left on my already-mangled motherboard. The other socket was destroyed by my dads dog drooling inside my computer.

So you have the $150 for that and $100 for a PSU?
What I recommend is this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341022 - $70, or $45 with rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150561 - $170, or $150 with rebate
So you get a better video card and a good, adequate PSU. If you can take advantage of rebates to their full extent, you could even get a better video card :)
Tell me if you can.
Do you also have links to those on amazon? Newegg doesn't ship to europe :c

When you have a new custom built compooter, how the hell do you install a new OS on the Hard drive? Do you just put the disk in and follow the instructions? or is there another process.
