Worth it? I know I'm all over the place with computer requests, but humor me for the meanwhile.
$1100 budget for EVERYTHING.

Just buy an ASUS.

My monitor will randomly dim then brighten again in an on-again off-again fashion. Any idea why?

Backlight problem? Is it all the time, as you are using it or while it's idle?

Quick update I figured out the problem. My TV came with a built in ambient light sensor that was enabled by default. So every time the sun put a little more light in the room it would dim the screen. Turned it off using the menu on the remote lol.

Yeah, I figured that, but would 750 be a good amount?
Make sure it's a good quality one.

That's what I suggested in the comment 2 below that. :)

Well at least now I know.

Oh and by the way, do you know anything about wireless cards? I have an external wireless card an Linksys AE1200 plugged in on one of my USB ports and it is way spotty. Could you recommend anything?

Edit: One more thing, am I running direct x 11? How can I tell?

Start > Run > Dxdiag
It should be the bottom item on the list on the first page.

Just buy an ASUS.
What kind of ASUS?
You have to be more specific with me :I

Windows 7 has Direct X 11 installed by default. C:
Well, the beta version of Win7 did so I assume the retail version does as well.

Radeon HD 7970 vs GTX 680 Performance on AMD Bulldozer FX-8150 CPU

considering selling my 580 to try and get a 680..
sucks that I paid more for my 580 when I bought it than a 680 costs now :/

the 680 kicks the 580's ass ahhhh ;-;

Yes it is more powerful out of the box, but it has auto overclocking built in. With even clock speeds, the 7970 is pretty much neck and neck.
