I accidentally spilled coffee in my case and then tried to vacuum it out, and now my computer won't start. HELp?////??

Whatever you do, don't use a vacuum cleaner.
I've used a vacuum cleaner, just while the case was still on. The risk of ESD is not that high.

If you spill a liquid on any electronics you should immediately disconnect them from any power source and let them dry out. They'll dry out faster if you take them apart and set them in a window or something. If you spilled something other than water on it, you should wait for it to dry then clean it with isopropyl alcohol using a cotton swab or q-tip.

If it's already not starting then it's broken. You're going to have to take it apart and test each component individually to see what failed and replace it. Sorry.

Can I upgrade my stock dell 620 motherboard?

I smashed it with a rake and now it runs great. It's a miracle.

don't you just love contributing to a question

So I just upgraded my Core 2 Duo CPU (mentioned earlier in the thread). To an i5-3570k, My GPU to a gtx 550 TI, aGIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H motherboard, my memory to 8 gb corsair vengeance 1600 mhz, and got optical drive, 1 tb caviar black drive for about ~550.

Good build?

your fault for owning a dell

and you never even said what you wanted to upgrade. if you literally meant the motherboard you may as well buy an entire computer while you're at it ..

my brother just bought a very nice computer off of craigslist

It has a Smilodon Raidmax Gaming Computer case, Intel Core Quad processor/cpu with heatsink, 1 tb hard drive, 600 WATT Power Supply, 4gb of ram, EVGA E-GEFORCE 9600 GT video card, extra fans, and dvd burner.
he got it for $380, he's really happy lol he can play arma 2/a bunch of other games when they come out.

The case is really sweet, it has green lights on the front and side fan. The side is clear so you can see inside it.

would you just tell me what the motherboard is and not get mad at me for buying a dell?

I don't really know what you're asking for so ..

if you're asking "what motherboard does my computer have" go here

if you're asking "what motherboard should I upgrade to" go here

Risk = still a risk.
Why do it if there's a risk?

Anything is possible. You'll need more specs though.

If you're not going to contribute constructively to a question, don't reply.

Meh, quite outdated as it's a few generations old but still good performance per dollar.

I've been having this problem with my PC I built

I was playing DOTA 2 when it suddenly turned off, at first I thought it was the graphics card overheating so I waited for it to cool down then I turned it back on. The monitor stayed black and I didn't get a splash screen, or bios, or anything. The fans of my computer (case, CPU, and GPU) turn on A-OK, and I can open/close the CD rom drive. What could be the problem and how do I fix it? I already removed my current GPU and plugged the monitor right into the motherboard.

And another thing, the power-button on the case of my computer turns it on, but I can't turn it off with the power-button, I have to turn off the PSU itself.

Any help?
