I lol'd

Anyways, the sky is the limit, on how many that actually have good purposes that work nice, I'd give the most at around 15

I need a lovey, but affordable computer for Christmas. If i cannot find one, I will hopefully get the IBuyPower one.

'Affordable' is a very subjective term.
How much exactly do you want to spend?

Any dedicated video that's even remotely modern could run them
Even the Mac Mini can run shaders on minimum. (or low, if the brickcount is low) Apple retired the Radeon 6630M Mac Mini. The only Mac Mini graphics option is the Intel HD Graphics 4000. I am not sure if that handles GLSL better than a Radeon 6630M, though.

EDIT: The test results are in!

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?gpu=Radeon+6600M&id=124 (804. This is only for the Radeon 6600M, but the 6630M is probably a tiny bit of a better performer.)

The tradeoff for this is probably because Apple put in USB3 (or wanted to make it less hot).

I want to make a Linux OS that sort of has the UI of a monochrome Macintosh (back in the 80's) so that it can use as little RAM/CPU as possible while still maintaining the modern securities of Linux.

Basically, I want to make a Linux OS that conserves RAM/CPU by using extreme minimalist interfacing and other tricks.

Under, or atleast barley over 1000 dollars.

Edit : By quality computer, I mean something that can run DayZ on highest settings, or a computer that can run games that are coming out on good settings.

If you want to run that on max you're going to need an i7, a good amount of ram and a pretty good graphics card. I would recommend a card like the radeon 7870 if you want to run it flawlessly with a high 3D resolution (makes the game look very sharp).

Sounds alright, but I am not one who builds computers, though. What computer would you think would be similar to that, but with a decent cost? I could probably get a computer from Ibuypower and put in a i7 and a radeon 7870, but I'm not sure.

im pretty sure a 2500 would be enough
