Author Topic: Legend of Zelda Overworld - NES (WIP)  (Read 2093 times)

over the corse of this week, I've been working on a small project, recreating the overworld from the original Legend of Zelda. I'm not very far into the build, but I thought I'd go ahead and make a topic just to showcase what I have so far.

I'm honestly only building this just to get back into the hang of building. I haven't built anything in so long so I decided this would give me something to do, so don't take it to seriously ;)

more to come!

lovey.
very lovey..
... TOO lovey.. hmmm..

Obviously doesn't match perfectly, but nice job as is.

Being a Zelda fan myself I must say, bravo.

Just one thing; the overworld must have secrets to uncover, or its not Zelda.

I was also building this! Now I don't know if I should continue.

Mine is supposed to have everything in its exact position in the grid. I've actually done more than this guy so far. I even made the title screen!

Top-down playertype.

Anyways, this is really nice. I love Zelda, best game series imo.

thanks, and yes, there will be secrets.

you should either make the landscape and the water both square, or make both curvy. it kinda looks really stupid to have the water at 90* angles but the actual terrain all spruced up and nice.
