It looks like RTB blew up and all you guys reconnecting took down the master/auth server (which hasn't recovered yet for whatever reason) but I won't be starting up the chat service until I know that's not going to happen again.

I was able to get it to work for a second and join Barnabas' server. I can't get it to work anymore.

I pretty much gave up once I got demo. At this rate it's obvious Blockland is flooded with people attempting to use RTB Connect.

Now it won't connect at all. It says I am in demo mode now. I keep entering it and retrying and it wont work.

Perhaps so many people want to use RTB4 that there are too many people for the master server to handle?
Or RTB4 had so much stuff all the people having it is overloading the master server.

After reading what Ephi said, I understand it as:

-People want RTB4 because its cool.
-RTB4 server crashes.
-Everybody restarts Blockland a ton to get it to authenticate.
-That then crashes Blockland's Master server.
-Now we are all sad.

I might be wrong, but that is my summary.

last 2 pages + the end of page 4 says all ya need to know. Lot's of people trying to connect at once, broke the server. Rtb & master server. You can't play Blockland atm, just wait for it to fix itself

What a coincidence, I decided to come look at the forums for the first time in months and now it's released.
I'll have to check it out.

Edit: Didn't notice giant server failure conversation thing, but that's cool.

No, not quite.

RTB authenticates users with the master server, so what you supplied was only part of the reason.
