After reading what Ephi said, I understand it as:
-People want RTB4 because its cool.
-RTB4 server crashes.
-Everybody restarts Blockland a ton to get it to authenticate.
-That then crashes Blockland's Master server.
-Now we are all sad.
I might be wrong, but that is my summary.

last 2 pages + the end of page 4 says all ya need to know. Lot's of people trying to connect at once, broke the server. Rtb & master server. You can't play Blockland atm, just wait for it to fix itself

What a coincidence, I decided to come look at the forums for the first time in months and now it's released.
I'll have to check it out.
Edit: Didn't notice giant server failure conversation thing, but that's cool.

No, not quite.
RTB authenticates users with the master server, so what you supplied was only part of the reason.
