The difference between girls going apestuff for Twilight and apestuff for The Hunger Games is that the hunger games isn't stuffty teen fantasy romantic fiction.
The hunger games is a badass book series with a story that could potentially be possible in some ways, and enough themes of every type (yes, including romance. If you can't handle the minute amount of it, go buy a carrot and forget yourself.) to keep just about every reader interested.

The writing in itself isn't good but the story is neat. I wish like JK Rowling would have written them, they would have been better.
