there's 2 different "kinds" of Vorarephilia. "Soft" vore, and "Hard" vore. Soft is where there's no digestion, no munching up of the vore-ee inside of the mouth, basically no harm whatsoever comes to the one getting eaten. Hard vore on the other hand is where the one being eaten is either hurt or dies in the process, whether that be through digestion or some other means. At that point, there's not much difference between hard vore and straight up snuff.

Not talking from experience but just from seeing so much terrible vore art in this thread it seems like most people who are into vore are into the soft variety. The entire special interest is pure fantasy. For all anyone cares you could assume that someone's throat is lined with velvet and it would still be just as plausible. That is to say, not at all.
