Author Topic: World defenseless against unknown space cloud (solar storm warning for 2012)  (Read 7766 times)

Beginning of 2013 should be a fun year.

Terrified scientists at NASA discovered on July 14, 2010 that our system is passing through an interstellar energy cloud. This highly energized, electrified cloud of gas is disturbing and disrupting the sun. In conjunction with Earth’s weakening and moving magnetic shield, the world is becoming defenseless against massive solar flares and intense radiation.

NASA, the ESA and the National Academy of Science have isued an unprecedented solar storm warning for 2012. But what NASA and the federal government are hiding, according to Demetriev, is that the sun—and everything in our solar system—has plunged into an alien, unknown photon cloud…a belt of danger that could precipitate gigantic solar explosions, magnetic anomalies, careening cometary masses and destabilize the orbits of some asteroids.
Just a little more on this, since it's intriguing.

According to my research, this paragraph appears to have been originally written sometime in November or October of 2010, although it's possible it came around a bit earlier. It cites no sources whatsoever. It's been copied and pasted hundreds of times on Internet forums and various conspiracy, end of the world, and even a few space blogs. The text has been subtly altered predicting different events ranging from earthquakes, volcanoes, asteroids, comets, the sun exploding, the Earth catching on fire, tsunamis, everyone dying from radiation, etc. Interestingly, it was not picked up and investigated by a single news organization, university, government, science journal, magazine, etc. If there was any merit to it all I can think of plenty of governments and news organizations who would love to point out how the Western media is covering up the end of the world. Either there is a huge conspiracy or there is basically no evidence or science to back it up. Im voting on the latter. You can all be reassured that it's 100% bullstuff and you can carry on with your lives.

It also looks like this appeared on the IGN and minecraft forums before it showed up here but those forums are dumb anyway.

My school was built in 1963, and therefore has a Fallout Shelter. I'll be fine. I also know exactly where the trapdoor is. It's in the Stage Prop Closet, under the couch.

Nasa already confirmed that one might happen in 2012.
People probably replied to this but no, they actually didn't. In ~1959 a massive solar storm hit, the largest recorded storm in 1000 years or something, and nothing happened. OP is conspiracy theorist & other doomsday stuff.

I think I trust NASA more than I do Mr. Kaku.
LOL. Dumbass.

>Mayan calender ends
>You think its the end of the world
>nope.avi.
>2012 mayan calender resets.

I don't.

Wedge is uber cool and you should believe what he says.

...at least try so you don't start stealing TVs thinking that we're all gonna die.

What will people do without bieber...hmmm

This isn't going to kill all life as long as the electromagnetic field around our planet exists.

You know, I think we can all take example from my Grandfather. He was an airplane pilot for 43 years and feared nothing at all. He lived everyday to the fullest, did what he enjoyed, and was always kind to those around him. And when I die, I want to die like him: Peacefully in my sleep, content with all I did in my life and ready to pass on.

Not screaming in terror like his passengers were.
that was just like my great grandparents, two that i know of were in the navy during the second world war and i assume that one of them died at sea, doing what he loved; sailing ships

we must make a sacrifice to the sun god
