I could do greatswords, battleaxes, throwing axes, doublesided daggers, short bows, long bows, scythes, magic crystal orbs, all sorts of many weapons. However it wont add much to gameplay, it will mostly just add clutter. Too many weapons would be too similar that it would be a bit redundant. But i am likely to make special rare tier weapons that will be different.
At the same time variety is the spice of life but I know what you mean with it
Personally:
Daggers - Dual wielded, fast, low damage, left-right constant attack combo
Sword - moderate speed and damage, constant swings, can use shield in offhand
Axe (2h) - high damage, slow, hits in an arc in front of you for three hits
Hammer (2h) - high damage, slow, swings twice in an arc then a large aoe attack for third attack
Wand - fast projectiles, moderate speed, can use an accessory in offhand
Staff (2h) - moderate speed projectiles, moderate attack speed, hold mouse to charge aoe attack
Bow - variable damage, speed and spread projectile with speed/damage increasing and spread decreasing the longer you hold it back (to a cap)
Crossbow - high speed projectile with low spread, moderate damage
Light Armor - less health (50-70%), full movement speed and jump height
Medium Armor - average health (90-110%), full movement speed, 75% jump height
Heavy Armor - lots of health (130-150%), 70-80% movement speed, 50% jump height
Then of course special epic/god tier items above the normal tiers, like say, death's scythe, some staff with a dragon eye or something, stuff like that
