I'd pay with whole bills and tell the driver to keep the change.

I just got off of work, doing my first true delivery shift. I did roughly around 15 or 16 deliveries total tonight. However, when I handed my pouch in (with all of the night's money in it) I apparently only earned around $10 in tips, a bit low considering that's not even a dollar per customer.

I noticed that more people were using Visa cards than cash and I didn't get a single person who paid by card that also tipped. My manager took the money back to recheck because it doesn't seem right, and I agree, but I also fear they'll accuse me of taking money out of the pouch...

Anyway, vote and discuss.

it depends if you did a stuffty job or not. if you just act like a dumbass and go

you don't get stuff from me. if you get my food here on time and don't act like a handicap i'd give around 10%

Ours deliveries are never late.

I try my best to smile and give a nice hello and say thanks when I leave, what else could I do in a 30 second exchange.

say stuff like "have a nice day" and be really polite. besides, shouldn't you be getting gratuity included?

Yesterday I had a 5-hour shift at Sonic and got around $30 in tips, and all I had to do was skate out to cars and bring them their food and then eat stolen tater tots and talk to my friends until I was called to ferry more food out. :D

yeah, but you're a girl. girls always get more tips from guys because dumbasses think that if they give a girl a dollar she'll forget him. that's the whole premise behind hooters and the tilted kilt.

I'm not big enough to work at Hooters unfortunately, I bet the tips there would kick ass.

I honestly do. D:

Im not sure if it comes out of the Visa payments or if it comes out of the delivery charge or what. Im still the new guy, I have no idea.

Pretty much what drivers do here. :D

"Jesus: I am a Jew
Peter: Prove it. What's a 9% tip on a $200 dinner?
Jesus: It's $18, which is very fair"

We always tip the delivery boy about three dollars ._.

I guess the people didn't have cash on them, just credit.

If I become a billionaire I will tip any delivery person 100$.

Neither do we. We don't even have to use our own cars, they're supplied if you want them.
