Do you think private servers would be legal after the closing? How does this game even work...?

i haven't played it i think the server's aren't hosted by you but by lego but you're pretty much in control of them

I played through closed beta, open beta, then even payed for it for like 3 months, really lovey game... sad to see it go ;-;... On the last day they should make the game completely free, give everyone the best gear, give everyone moderator abilities to blow up their servers. (If we're lucky some other company might buy it and make it free, like APB. But then there's the risk of it turning into "MegaBloks Universe")

Is it weird that I wasn't surprised this would happen? Lego has just lost that creative spark that keeps children interested in their products.

you're the only one who thinks that, Tony

Apparently not because no one is playing the game. The attention span of a child is limited and Lego Universe just don't pack enough punch to keep that attention span going.

I'm not saying it's a bad game but it doesn't hold attention for long.

LEGO was for back when computers were slow and games were stuff. You could put together something amazing where as a game was a direction and an objective. Now, you can build amazing things in games, and spread them across the world.

LEGO Universe failed to combine this with themselves.

We won.
Blockland and LEGO Universe were/are two completely different types of games.

We are sarcastic.

Or perhaps you remember not the whole controversy between Lego and Badspot that led to the creation of this game?

Badspot asked if he could use lego's likeness in his game, lego said no.

nope.

it was almost badspot that led/or was involved with LU.
though at the time it was an unknown project they were teasing him with offers about.

sounds about right

I just don't like MMOs, otherwise I probably would have gotten into it.  It looked like Blockland had a free-er and easier building system anyhow
